Marotta has an allergy on prolific finishers and on players able to become one.
All the other serie A teams, can easily find a Klose, Rossi, Cavani, Higuain, Dzeko, Balotelli etc,
yet we can only go as far as Vucinic and Manzdukic.
Even if we accidentally sign one, like it happened with Tevez, who was never that prolific as an SS, we just gave him away for free.
So we will never get a Dzeko, a Cavani, a Lewad/ski, Benzema or a Higuain, because they could simply do their job,
yet Marotta prefers to sign a group of ppl to do the job of one finisher.
Probably he takes a better cut this way, or he is simply incompetent to approach the most wanted players in mercato, that always have been the prolific finishers.
His public accusers will always make pitiful excuses, like every time, after another Marotta transfer saga failure, (Dzeko, RVP, etc)
Immobile and Berardi were the only players of the youngsters we owned that could become prolific finishers in the future, but Marotta made sure that we will never get them.
He loaned them away until he made sure, they were really not mediocre material and when he was sure, he gifted away their contracts for peanuts and left Juventus unable to sign them back.
Then made a faint attempt to sign them back, the feeder club naturally did not commit the gift gesture of his, demanded an ammount close to the player's actual value and now, with the excuse that the player is now too expensive to have back, the return fails.
This is a pattern that repeats its self, ever since Marotta has joined us. And this year utter proof appeared, after losing our Immobile last year, after he was the most wanted finisher in serie A, only for 5mil,
this year he failed to get Berardi and got the mediocre Zaza instead, for a ridiculous amount of cash.
Zaza is not going to become a permanent solution, his abilities to score are limited, he never reached Berardi, or Immobile's goal numbers and Marotta has chosen him particularly for that.
Zaza has an expiration date, one day his limited talent will reach a point that will be proved insuficient for Juve and we will be forced to buy yet again.
Mandzukic will reach Llorente's age soon and will be released for free, Morata will return to Real and Dybala will never become as prolific, as Tevez and will always need a prolific partner, providing a permanent excuse for Marotta to keep spending 20mil every year for new forwards and a new set of CM/AMs/wingers.
This is why we got Zaza and not Berardi, Zaza at best will become as prolific as the average finishers Marotta gets, Iaquinta, Vucinic, Quaq, Matri, Borriello, Llorente, Morata strickly before the coming of age and now Mandzukic.
Berardi and Immobile had the potential to surpass them, so Marotta simply "failed" to get them, lame excuses may appear from everywhere, he can even cause them himself, for example may demand from Berardi to come and accept his role as the 4th sub, or put Allegri to call Zaza and promise him playing time and equal chances.
Berardi will find a team, Marotta will collect his cut from future transfers, the only one who loses from this, is Juventus...
