I really think Prandelli should consider him. Would be a handy weapon to have. But he is still young, so if not this time the next if he continues. But at this point I'd take him over El sha, florenzi, insigne etc.

Send the guy to the WC when he hasn't even played an NT match before? Let alone not a single U21, U20, or U19 NT match?

Marotta said Paratici was the responsible for getting Berardi.

Juve owns his sportive rights, he's on loan to Sassuolo. At the end of the season, if no new deal is done, he'll naturally go to Juve, without having to pay a cent for him.

And I don't know if the price is fixed or not. I guess it could be, 'cause his evaluation was of 9mi even before he got to Serie A - it seems fairly high for an 18yr kid who never played for Serie A. Maybe because the price was a little high because it was fixed. But who knows.

Yup, is maybe not the best decition.

Just imagine him being introduced at the 60th min of WC semifinal because the others were sucking.... It would be inmense pressure for a player so young and inexperienced.

Poor guy would simply explode from the pressure. Stadium janitors would be hosing off his intestines from the walls behind the curvas.

He should play in some of the friendlies before the WC anyway.

It's not like he has much competition: Insigne, Shawarama, are poop. Matri, and Pazzini are jokes. Rossi is never going to make it.

that leaves Italy with Balotelli, Candreva, Gilardino, Cassano, Osvaldo, Di Natale. as forward and wing forwards.

He'd be worth a friendly call up. But that's still a huge risk to bring to the WC a player who has never played a competitive match for the Italy NT at either the youth or adult levels. Someone has to sit out in his place, and I don't see that happening.

yeah, but with rossi injured and el shawarma not playing, italy doesnt have options.

also net's not kid oursleves. 11 goals in 14 games is mighty impressive considering this is his first season. he could be another pogba, if even a poorer version

Gambling on an unknown before a huge tournament that you've qualified for after 4 years just ain't the desperate style of the Italy NT though.

Be interesting to find out if he stays focused after this success and attention.

Easy for these things to go to a kid's head.

Yeah, sounds more like England.

Italy also have Cerci playing in a very similar position who is more proven and deserves his chance after the last season or two.

What do you make of him @Red ?
Haven't seen enough of him to judge.

Always intrigued by youngsters who are doing things due to understanding how to move rather than just being fancy dribblers (as so many young forwards are), though.

It suggests an intelligence that is much harder to find than flashy technique.

Yeah. Which is why I've been really impressed with him. Especially his goals against Milan, in particular the second. I like his instincts.

First poker as professional

✓ Domenico Berardi: 19 years, 5 months and 11 days (vs AC Milan).
✓ Lionel Messi: 22 years, 9 months y 11 days (vs Arsenal)
✓ Cristiano Ronaldo: 25 years, 5 months y 18 days (vs Racing).

:touched:
Obviously means he'll be better than them.
