The only thing smell mediocre from EDF, is he ex-Roma, who hv Zeman as his tutor as a player, and as a coach.
Other wise he's a alright/good coach, i can see him in our bench when allegri decided to leave tho.

Sassuolo: 'Italian success story'
By Football Italia staff

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali hailed their “historic” European qualification based on Italian players.

This was only the Neroverdi’s third campaign in Serie A and they finished sixth, taking them into the Europa League preliminary rounds.

“It has been an historic campaign,” Carnevali told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Finishing sixth ahead of Milan was already a huge success, then qualifying for Europe with yesterday’s result was the icing on the cake.”

Milan would’ve qualified instead if they had won the Coppa Italia, but Juventus won 1-0 in extra time with Alvaro Morata.

“We proved that we can go far even with Italian players. Long live Italy! For the future we want to continue working with this approach, albeit aware there will be difficulties awaiting us.”

There are only four foreign players in the Sassuolo squad - Croatian Sime Vrsaljko, Moroccan Karim Laribi, Ghanaian Alfred Duncan and French striker Gregoire Defrel.

Juventus have an option to buy Domenico Berardi for €25m, but Sassuolo have already stated that if someone else offers more, they can begin negotiations.

“Over the next few days we’ll work out the technical aspects of the season ahead. Juve have an option on Berardi and could decide his future.

“I don’t think Juve will want to let him slip through their fingers, but if they do then we have many requests and will evaluate the situation.”

Hes coming :tuttosport:
@Zacheryah
Juventus is looking at retaining Morata, Cuadrado and signing Pjanic or Gomez.
Sassuolo is desperate about this. They know we keep that option as plan C. They also know that aside from juventus, nobody cares about spending 25mil on berardi.
So they keep Berardi in the media, hoping to attract attention so juve would quickly lift the option.

We arent remotely giving a shit.
