These sort of signings will keep us in the 4th to 7th in the standings the club is seemingly happy to accept these days.

Disgusting.
But he has Boss Stats Bro. Did you see how he scored a gazillion goals and provided a quadrillion assists for Mighty Sassuolo in Serie A? Yeah Bro. He Stronk. He beasting at Sass with stat padding and penals (6 to be exact).

He was also so awesome for Italy at the Euros, guiding them to the title with his ZERO GOAL contribution.

Fuck this shit.

Also, why are there two separate threads for this piece of shit?

Does he need/warrant that much attention for being a Mini Jabroni?

But he has 1500 goals and 2700 assists for Sassuolo Bro. How can you not dig this player? He's also Italian and has that ever important Serie A experience. it's a win-win.

In the meantime, Milan are looking at Traore, his teammate, who's like 5 years younger.

Higher upside, eclectic, dynamic, can score and assist, probably the same transfer fee and salary demands, but what do I know? I'm not a Formula 1 experd like Arrivederci or a Professional Pencil Pusher like Chimichanga.

So how exactly did it happen that basically we went from the option of low cost/free agent and better overall player in Di Maria to potentially investing around €40M on a inferior player with questionable mentality? He can surely be a good backup option that could contribute during a long season but i doubt he will be able to lock a starting place for himself here or have the immediate impact or winning mentality that the club needs atm…

I honestly don’t think this is the right move to pursue, at least not for the numbers that are rumored and the risks that come with it for a player that for nine consecutive seasons never really challenged himself outside of his low pressure Sassuolo comfort zone.

But he's a European Champ Bro. (notwithstanding that more than half that team are absolute turds of the giant Jabroni variety). He also has Serie A experience, the stuff that makes our board cream their pants and soil their loins. Over and above, he plays for Sass, our butt buddies. Better still, he has 15 goals and 17 assists Bro. 15 and 17. Those are numbers unseen since the Halcyon Giovinco Era.

People here act like scorned ex-girlfriends because Berardi rejected us 9 years ago or something like that. Everyone calls for loyalty but when he showed loyalty to Sassuolo and became a legend for them only makes him mentally weak, not loyal anymore apparently. Berardi has a special talent to make people in this forum react like he is worse than Simone Pepe while scoring a hattrick against Milan.

At which level has he failed? He has delivered in every competition he has competed in. Everyone loves Sassuolo's talents yet Berardi has been their best players for like 10 years straight, including last year when we signed Locatelli, and this year when everyone is thinking of Raspadori, Traore, Scamacca or Frattesi. If any of those players are signed and they grow to the level of Berardi it would be seen as a success.

We want someone the feed Vlahovic in a 433, he gave 17 assists this season, including 5 against the top 4 in Serie A

He isn't the next Neymar but neither is anyone in our team. It isn't a particularly expensive move for someone in his prime that has been outperforming most of our players in the league we play in.

The issue with Berardi is we know where his ceiling is as a player and that ceiling is not going to take us where we would like/expect to be.

It’s just a sign of how shit Serie A is that we have to choose from this calibre of player because domestically the wide players are distinctly average, particularly when compared to their counterparts in EPL, La Liga and Bundesliga.

The issue with Berardi is the cost to the output, he's a very good player for Sassuolo but nearly 28 and going to surely cost €40m plus. We have to be so careful with our spending and on the positions it is used in.

If Max wants wide attackers it does make more sense to go for a foreign option for €20m, but we often go down this tested domestic route. It's taken for granted that Berardi would hit the ground running, Sassuolo are a small club, and his sample from playing at the elite level (NT) suggests he is more likely to be a Berna with a few more goals. Risky move, but then again who isn't? Probably Di Maria, but there is only one of him available.

Im starting to believe Berardi is our best option for the wing (now that Di Maria is going to Barcelona - or at least it seems like it)
What is the situation with Gnabry? I really rate him.

Gnabry is not a European Champion, lacks Marinara and doesn't have Serie A experience. He has no chance of succeeding here.

Which competitions are those exactly? Please enlighten us. He Scored 0 (FUCKING ZERO) goals for Italy at the Euros, and was only solid in like 2 games FFS!

Oh yeah, he has delivered for Sassuolo in Serie A. That's about it. What other competitions has he participated in and delivered? Ma Vaffanculo.

He is the epitome of a big fish in a medium-sized pond, the Cuntobile of wingers.

He's 28 years old, has never left the comfort of his little village in Sass, has no resale value, no upside, and would cost anywhere between 30 and 40 million. For that kind of money (add a bit more) and we can have a much better player. If we don't want to do that, at least go for someone younger with more upside and potential resale value should he flop.

I don't give two shits about stats. Many players have looked like world beaters playing for other clubs and failed elsewhere. Remember Turdeski? Remember Kulu not too long ago? Do you recall Giovinco at Parma? Exactly! Case Closed!
