Yes, because they are poor, scared people.

Most religious people are the bottom of the class system, they have nothing, so they look to the Heavens and say "there must be a reason" when there really is not.
I'm not at the bottom and neither is conte, Buffon, alessandro del pier etc etc and they are all believers. Conte kisses holy water before each game in the sign of the cross. Whats your explanation there. they are well off so they are thankful? Station in life has nothing to do with belief

Funny, was just reading Antichrist by Nietzsche and then this discussion of the Christian mentality and who it appeals to comes along :D . I completely agree with him though, slave religion.

What are you guys even talking about?

it's nonsensical to talk about Christianity as a whole entity. If you walk into an Orthodox Church and a Protestant Church it's hard to imagine they belong to the same religious group.

Oh, I agree...

They are all idiots.
I really don't get your per capita argument. But then again, I don't know what the point of the post exchange between you two are. Whats substance?

The main tenants are the same just because the worship is different
No, they're actually so far from the same that you can't even believe it. Icons for example, saint worshipping, lighting candles for the dead/alive etc. Cba educating you on your religion to be honest.

Let alone the perception of what and who Jesus Christ actually was. You know, the Three Chapters which led to the Catholic Church splitting up?

it was in reference to the Vatican being in Italy someone said thats why Italians are more christian. so I said The US is the most christian nation. He used the per capita and I said it means nothing when its by percentage the most Christian and then showed him a poll

I know all that but they all believe that Jesus was the son of God born of a virgin, died and resurrected
