Are you serious young child? The truth has nothing to do with technology/tools or whatever :)
So the truth has nothing to do with cold hard facts but rather truth is measured by scriptures written and then re-written hundreds of years later by dudes on opium?

Yep - Atheists are so enlightened. I wish we could have a dark dry heart like you :(
"If you need religion to be a good person you aren't a good person"

How can you make assumptions based around the third largest ideology in the world (behind Islam and Christianity, titles as NON BELIEF before you make any stupid comments). I do not make any assumptions on any religious person, I will always open clear and fair debate lines. Fred is one of the most intelligent and enlightened people I have had the pleasure of debating with and he's a muslim. You are rejecting out of hand every secular person because we all have 'Cold Hearts'.

To quote stephen fry (slightly out of context but still relevant).

"I am gay, and your belief system teaches that I am evil. How fucking dare you make any such assumption about me. I view my role in the world as a person to love and be loved and be happy"

I said it a few pages back, if you were taught jack in the beanstalk as a bible story you would believe it to be true. If you were told Santa Clause was Jesus you would believe it,dont talk to me about blind faith.

The whole of Western Civilisations ideals are based on these ancient scriptures (greek especially) in on way or another.

Not saying you need to agree with any/all of it

I just saw evolution come up in here. I want to clear it up before it kicks off. Evolution is Scientific Theory. Scientific Theory means that it has been tested and proven to be correct, to the extent as science will ever say something is correct as 99.99% as in its saying "this is right, it would take aliens coming down to earth and giving us irrefutable proof for us to change it".

Evolution is how life on earth has come to be - that is the answer to how, not why.

What initiated evolution? Is evolution a blind dumb process?

I would go as far to suggest that once, when people were not widely educated that Religion served a purpose. But now, seeing how far humanity has come it is not needed any more, it is redundant.

That's a fair opinion an has many strong points. Of course many of us Theists would disagree and say religion is needed now more than ever but I can see where you're coming from

In the end there are those who choose to believe the intellect of man and others who choose to believe in God. its a personal choice to an atheist there will probably never be enough evidence to prove God they would doubt their own senses. For a believer there will never be the need for that proof because their soul believes in their God.
