Kewl, indeed! :D Sounds like quite the catch. ;)

So what is he doing now? :D (if he's doing a job that will make Maddy say "I told you so", then please lie. :D)
Well, before leaving England to be with me, he was a civil servant.

He actually didn't much like film and media by the time he was done.

I meant when you interact with people not your search
I'm poor at social interactions, yes.

Also, please answer my question: Can you clarify on which of the 10 commandments it's based on?

Thanks. There you go with being right again. :D
I have a fervent obsession with grammar. You can blame my excellent education for that. :D

...and the spell-check feature on my phone.

Greater knowledge is more than you have now. That's it.

It's not just many (and I emphasize many and not all) atheists, however. You can become closed-minded and stop identifying and asking good questions in any walk of life, having your mind made up that you know everything about a subject and it's time to move along.
I agree that that can happen. I have identified it as a negative trait and try very hard seek new knowledge. So it irritates me when the religious cretins(purely opinion) accuse me of being closed-minded. My line of reasoning may seem tired and unimaginative due to my pursuit of the validity of their factual claims. But don't think that I'm oblivious to the moral and philosophical nature of religions. I just tend not to discuss it here.

Even more irritating is their hypocrisy. They've closed off their brains to other religions and fervently believe in their own, when there is infinite knowledge waiting to be gained through other faiths. They may ignore, say Hinduism, based on their dogmatic rejection of polytheism, yet accuse me(someone who's actively trying to learn more about more than 1 religion) of being close minded. I won't tolerate this bullshit!

The one thing I do kind of admire a lot of religions for relative to atheism is that they often believe in the progressive reveal... the idea that learning is a journey and you gain more wisdom out of it the more you go on that journey. We have massive counter-examples, of course, where "Stay off the lawn" signs are prominently displayed around things like homosexuality, birth control, women's rights, etc., etc. But it's the general concept of a life committed to continual learning.
I agree with most of what you say here. I just don't think that this progressive learning is exclusive to some religions. Learning new information is something common to all of humanity, regardless of religion. As for atheists, once they stop believing in religion, there's a void left to be filled by other means. Voids in areas like morality, understanding of unknown phenomena and philosophy will naturally drive them to look for alternate sources. This will automatically result in gaining new knowledge. Also, I'm sure you're well aware of atheists' support of science. What other field other than science can you find that is striving very hard to find answers and coming out with new knowledge and understanding?
