It need not necessarily be a restaurant or anything...
It could be a place Mediteranean-like...something like Marble Arch in London where you can easily find Halal food...
the basic string of life everwhere in europe is MAcDonal'D filet o fish... and of coz, u can always ask for seafood pizza or spegetti... but that of coz is an everage dier.. if u will be on a adveture student diet like i did when i visited italay, we survive only on bread and tuna from supermarket..
I dont know these places personally, so I can't tell you where they are or how good the place is (or if they exisit).
Anyhow, if you go to Italy, I highly recommend looking up (using the yellow pages if they have that there) an Arabic, Turkish, or any other Mediteranian restaurant and ASK THEM for markets that sell Halal meat. They would surely know. (learn to ask that question in Italian.. or if you want to know how to ask it in Arabic let me know )
Maybe you can look for Turkish/Marocco/Arabic restourants there (like Majed said), or it's more safe if you go to the market and cook yourself if you have time
and for the record Kosher food is not only about not eating pork. it also doesnt all people to eat shell fish and stuff like crab or lobster and also no dairy products. at least thats what i know.
