In Islam, God is very, extremely, kind. and I mean VERYYY kind and merciful. You say surely our sins will weight over our deeds? Truth is no one can judge a person more than God can. Besides whats important in Islam is trying to do good and avoid evil. Simple. Human beings are not perfect, we are BOUND to make mistakes, and that's where you have repenting and a God which is Merciful. I think, as long as a moslem live by the rule "TRY to do good and avoid evil" he/she'll survive

When you plan to do some thing good and do it, then you dont just get one good deed, you get another good deed for sincerly planning it.
So if i really intend to do something good, but i forget, i still get a good deed for planning on doing it.
when you commit a sin. you're only held acountable for the sin, not planning it. If you intend and plan on sinning, but you dont go through with it, either
1. you dont get a sin (if you forgot or weren't able to commit that sin)
2. you actually get a good deed (if you planned to sin, but didn't go threw with it because i change in heart)
-A (dying) man will always be honest in his redemption, because he is dying and he regrets all the things he had done. Therefore this redemption should not be taken into consideration.
-In your death bed dying, (If you were in your death bed dying without knowing it, and redeem yourself, god will forgive you).
-Actualy nobody knows the cutoff, only god knows that, we know that allah is most merciful and just, so if you try to do good and avoid evil you will be ok.
-It depends, If you are actualy dying at that time, I dont mean a slow death like cancer, its like someone's soul is being taken away from his body.

Just because i person prays for something, even if he/she is rightous, it doesn't mean god will have to grant it.
I feel like the whole "fate" topic is gonna open up :stress: and i honestly dont have the energy and time!!

As Majed said, it's all down to what God wants, but AFAIK most athletes don't pray for victory or anything like that. Personally, before I step onto the pitch, I ask that God would let me represent him well (sportsmanship, not getting into fights and whinging to the regeree, humility).
Take Jesus for example. Before he was taken away and crucified, Jesus prayed to God:
"Abba Father", he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." - Mark 14:36
Jesus is pretty much saying, "God, I know that you can send down legions of angels to fight and rescue me from my captors, but I want your will to be done, not mine".
In the same way, a mature believer would pray "God, of course i want to win this game, but i leave it upto your will". It's an act of submission, of faith.

Stepping on to the field, I pray to god that:
1. I do my best
2. He keeps me from getting injured.
3. He keeps me from hurting others. (unintentially)
4. that i keep my cool.
5. When I cheekly Dribble someone or score a difficult goal, that nobody interprets the huge smile on my face and my celebration as a mockery. It's just me lovin' the game
