We've done it so many times. We start the season in impressive fashion. So impressive that we are always touted as favorites to win the CL and/or/either Serie A almost every year. But take note, this is at the beginning of the season.
But how many times have I seen Juve have a dip in form? Countless.
Last year we started impressively in all competitions, but in the end, we lacked the consistency that GREAT teams have. In the end, our start-of-the-season-form did not reflect our end-of-the-season results. When I say GREAT, I am not making any reference to any team at present because there is no other team who play consistently great these days.
So what happens again if we find ourselves in the same situation where for some odd reason, we lose steam and momentum? First signs of this shown in the Bayern Munich game where we lost in Munich. The return leg against the Bavarians in Turin wasn't equally impressive as we had to win it late again and were unable to control the game. The game against Milan still poses a question mark because I seriously thought we were on a better psychological condition entering that match. But still, we lost.
Is there something we can do to prevent this from happening?
We almost do it all of the time. Start well, raise expectations, and then be disappointed in the end. I would rather we start slowly, and then build-up and play solidly closing in on the latter parts of the season.
I don't know. Sometimes, it's just frustrating. What do we need to keep the engine running at full steam?

Milan, seem erratic but is far from great.
Barcelona seem the closest to defining a GREAT team.
Chelsea consistently play a solid game, but not great.
