So that's your argument for taking Modric over Diego?
What if Juande Ramos benches Modric because he needs the team to be more compact? Could we then say that Modric isn't as good as Julio Baptista then?
Diego is the better player just like Rafa Marquez is better than Gooch Onyewu, but that's because I'm unbiased enough to acknowledge it.
No, that's my arguement on Rab claiming Diego didn't succed in Brasil because he has Kaka and Ronaldinho over him. At Copa there were neither, still he did not play the whole tournament. But yeah, that's because of silly Dunga and his stupid decisions who ended up winning the tournamtent.
And Juande is no longer the coach so your theory goes down the drain because Redknapp is and guess what, he fancies Croatians.
What are you trying to prove here? You just fucking said it, played with a small country... Diego plays for the Brazil NT and it happens that the best football players in the world are currently playing in his position. That doesn't mean he failed ffs.
Watching too many games doesn't mean you know what's right from wrong and vice versa. Diego is the better player and it's a fact whether we all like it or not. And there's really no comparison between the two players. Modric hasn't proved anything yet. He's not even in the top 15 midfielders to say the least.
I wont call you biased or anything, but seriously get your facts straight and stop hiding behind Modric's five good matches with Croatia. He's very talented again, no one can deny that, but just don't compare him with an extraordinary player like Diego.
What next? He'll play decent match with Tottenham and you'll make him better player than Nedved.
Playing with a small country and winning against stronger opposition, that's my point. When Diego leads the super starred Brasil to half the wins Modric lead Croatia to, than we can talk.
You all claim of his fucking achievements, what are they? 2 years flopping like crap at Porto, being sold for peanuts to Werder, 6 FUCKING MILLION EUROS and playing one season well? Wow, he's surely one of the top midfielders in the world.
FFS, I would understand if you people were speaking of Fabregas or Ribery for example, but not fucking Diego. He is a pumped up Brasilian playmaker, the same type you can find in Brasil in numbers. He's in Europe for over 3 years now and has nothing to show for it. He's no more succesful than Quaresma. He's playing for an average club in a leauge that's far from its past glories and he's not the next Kaka and he never will be.
