I would be proud to have a Canadian at Juve! Although there is really only one Canadian who is probably good enough for Juve and that is De Guzman of Deportivo .. (or his brother who does not play for Canada but the netherlands) . or Hargreaves but I dont count him as Canadian cuz he is a traitor like the other De Guzman

Though if the World Cup finishes at the end if June then that wouldnt give Lippi much time to organise the squad, sign players etc

Cant see that happening so we'l probs end up with Ranieri signing a one year extension :pumpkin:
I don't think Ranieri will be here any longer than his contract permits and Lippi is definately not going to come back, even if he finishes with Italy at the 2010 WC..

On the topic of this thread, I see Silva as the only real player we have a chance of signing and I'd be happy if we actually did, I'd love Ribery but if you think he's on his way to Turin then you should see a doctor

Man Shitty are supposedly in for Ribery.

Not that it makes much odds, as I don't think he was a viable option.

God, I wish we could have continuous deflation in commodity prices and oil around $10 per barrel for the next decade, just to bankrupt those goddamn OPEC nations and their Emirs.

Players that go to Man City are only after money, they will never reach the level of the other top 4 English clubs no matter how much money they are willing to spend

chelsea was doing much better than man city before abramovic bought them
they had debts but they were in the CL,usually top 6 and won an FA cup before abramovic came in

so its a totally different story with man city
yeah Man City were fighting against relegation before the Thai PM bought them the were like a mid-bottom level team when the Arabs came. Chelsea were in the CL the season Roman came.

Bayern frees Ribéry for Juve: impossible to keep him

Uli Hoeness, general manager of Bayern Munich, is not sure that he can get Franck Ribéry to stay in Germany. "Our goal is to do everything possible to keep Franck - Hoeness said in an interview with the newspaper Bild - but it will be a tough battle because there will be clubs that will make him offers. The most important thing is to show how strongly we want him to remain with us, because even a doubt could be exploited by his agents. Franck and his family are happy with us. But it is clear that his agents have a potential interest in a possible transfer". According to the market radio the French player is closely followed by Juventus, along with other big European clubs, including Barcelona.

WTF do Barca want Ribery for? they got the best player in the world in that position, and they get a promising young player Pedro who looked good...then you have Henry/ Eto'o/ Iniesta and Bojan...how many more attackers for 4-3-3 do they need

Ribery is better out on the left than on the right imho. Henry is ageing, and i think it would be too much of a risk to count on him next season. Their other option to play on the left is either Hleb or Iniesta. The former doesn't look like he's going to make it with Barca while the latter is better when employed in the center. I don't think its such a bad idea for them to get someone that can play in the left of their 4-3-3.
