I hate the fact that we lost 10m in only one year but do you really believe his actual price is 25m?
I don't ever believe he was worth that much. Amatuer negotiater on our behalf, plus he had the best year of his career before he came here(which was never 25m worthy).

We got duped like we did on a lot of Secco transfers.

Del Piero was ok last season, definitely not one of our most effective or influential players on the field.

As for Diego being sold for 16 Million, that's indeed a tragedy. We bought him for 25, regardless of whether he is worth that much or not. We ended up paying 25 million.

In any case, if people like Pepe and Quag are worth in the 10-15 million range, then Diego is definitely closer to 20!

Andy was right with his previous post, so much anti Diego BS lurking out in such convenient ways.
I have always said that Diego needs a team around him so that he functions as he should, nothing has changed since then, I still stand by my claim that Diego does need a team of certain shape and characteristics so that he delivers.

Well thats obvious, but why mock it (like done in above posts) and make it sound like its something outlandish that Diego needed a non terrible team to perform for us last season? No one would really step up in such setting, he could played better individually, but nothing good comes out in such a consistent mess that was last season. Cliche but Football is a team sport for a reason.

IMO I could say Gigi before getting injured, and Chiellini, are the only ones to really come out of it as their usual selves With a Diego despite being dissapointed, as a close 3rd. Plus Ale and Trez being useful now and then, but in general having very average seasons.

Bottomline is, defenitely should have gotten a 2nd season. Stupid stupid to sell him.
