Del Neri was clear with me, he wanted me to stay, but it looks like non of the directors listened to him and I don't understand why, theres no point talking about it any more
For all those who were going crazy at Del Neri over his 4-4-2 system in this transfer, read this please, and shut up.

You've been told hundreds of times that he put Doni behind the striker in his Atalanta period yet you continually ignored it and found a reason to go ape shit for no reason.

You don't care for the club if you don't go apreshit, that's the latest announcement from those who "voice their concerns".

We are too big to be relegated again JCK, unless another Calciopoli comes around. However, it will take a few years for us to have a seat on the table with the big boys.

We will not challenge for Serie A for at least another 3 years, and we will definitely not make it beyond the QF of the Champions League for the next 5 years, provided we get a favourable draw, and actually qualify for the competition in the first place.

And we cannot be competing for Serie A and reaching the QF of the CL in just one season. So cut the crap and hope for the best.

Diego: 'Juve disrespected me' Channel4

Saturday 28 August, 2010

After his transfer to Wolfsburg, Diego has angrily blamed Juventus directors for “kicking me out against Gigi Del Neri’s wishes. I expected more respect.”

The Brazilian had looked set to stay in Turin, but completed his €16m transfer on Friday after just one year at the club.

“I wasn’t the one to leave. It was Juve who kicked me out,” he declared in a Press conference.

“At Juventus there was a project that I was not considered to be a part of. That’s fine, a player like me will always have his space in football.

“To be honest, I am not remotely upset to have left. It’s just a shame for the Juve fans, who I must thank for their respect and affection towards me.

“Juventus were not clear. It was not the club who told me of the sale, but FIFA agent Giacomo Petralito, so only afterwards did I talk to director general Beppe Marotta. I expected more respect.”

It was a particularly surprising transfer considering how adamant Del Neri had been that Diego would remain.

“Del Neri was always very clear with me and wanted me to stay. It seems as if none of the people who run the club listened to him and I never understood why they went against his wishes.”

So does that mean Moggi is actually pulling the strings by instructing Agnelli what to do like some people have suspected? At least we know that Moggi wanted to get rid of Diego.

don't believe that shit that moggi is behind one man or another..
So what does Diego mean when he says that Del Neri wanted to keep him but "others" didn't? I can't see Marotta selling Diego on his own against Del Neri's will because Marotta and Del Nero are supposed to work well together.

I have often wondered where the bizarre quotes in translated articles come from. How interesting that this football italia article isn't similar to any of the Italian statements we've seen. Now we know, they just make stuff up.
