I understand this is a kind of a shock too many people, but why is it a fucn doomsday? The guy did one season, and proved nothing. The team wasnt helping, but it was not easy to find the big potential.. The new 442-look isnt perfect for diego, and if i have to choose diego or 442 with wingers, id definetly go for a straight up 442.

Forza the keeper, de ceglie, chiellini, bonucci, motta, pepe, marchisio, aquilani, melo, krasic, del piero, martinez, quagliarella, amauri!

It's actually amazing how many Italian players we have now. I just can't remember when the last time Juve had so many Italian names in its line-up was.

--------------------Buffon/Storari

--Motta--Bonucci/Legro---Chiellini----De Ceglie

---Quaggy-----Marchisio---Aquilani---- Pepe

----------------Amauri---Del piero----------------

This transfer is crazy!! completely crazy!! Del Neri wanted him to stay.. he said he's the only difference maker in the squad, the only 'galactico'. I'm really disappointed. If we were to judge players based on last year's form, then NO ONE would stay including Buffon who had a bad season. The only player who could hold his head high is from last season is Chiellini- all else was performing below par. Besides, the mighty Zizou's first season at Juve was a bad one, as was Nedved's, the only difference is that there was a team of champions to carry them through their first seasons- that helped them find their footing and find their potential. Diego leaving is bad news.. Qualgia is a good player, and he will add a lot of energy to our aging +30 yrs old front line, but he should've come in place of Trezeguet or Amauri or Iaq, not Diego.

Do you understand the concept of dignity?

Consider this, Tell Buffon he is a fringe player and transfer listed. An offer comes from another club which respect and value him much more than Juve. In this scenario, do you think Buffon is going to stay or leave?
Until the very end he did not want to leave- they forced hm out. It's quite obvious.. if you saw the trofeo berlusconi and the tim cup, you would've seen.

Edit

actully

it would be too cruel to do a rickroll joke now
During the whole fiasco , this ^^ was the funniest moment, as Footie originaly posted 'It's official, it hit wolfsburg website' and right after ReBel posted that picture, made me lol it was like some random bollywood scene..

Anyway, I believe selling Diego for 15.5mil (even straight cash) will hunt Marotta back..
As stupid as it sounds, I think if they had Diego on market publicly from the beginning we could have even got a better offer for the lad. But what's done it's done I suppose..

I don't know if I have enough points but here it goes..

I have to say, another ugly trend on the forum is starting to rear its ugly head again. Slowly but surely, folks are starting to accept that Diego is a goner. And just like they did with Criscito and Giovinco, now Diego will be the target of silly criticisms to relieve the disapproval of losing the player. He won't be a target of accusations of treason like Criscito, but I am willing to gamble that he will suffer the same fate as Giovinco with posters getting all giddy over the replacement, a la Lanzafame. Mind you, Lanza was barely mentioned on this forum before this summer. Now he's better than Giovinco.

This is the typical tribal mentality. Sustain a big loss, either 1) find a scapegoat or 2) brainwash yourself into thinking it's not a loss at all based on faux hopes, faith or other (per)versions of subjectivity.

Folks need to realize that the club can certainly do itself wrong and you're not any more or less of a fan for criticizing it.

Non sono stato io ad andare via - ha detto Diego - ma è stata la Juve a cacciarmi"

It wasn't me that chose to go, but it was Juve who were looking to offload me

I am sorry for the fans only, which I have to thank for the respect and love they gave me. Juve were not clear, to tell me about the transfer it wasn't the club but Giacomo Petralito and only having after spoken to Marotta it was confirmed. I expected more respect

Diego: "Mister Delneri è stato sempre chiaro con me e voleva che rimanessi. Ma pare che nessuno delle persone che dirigono il club bianconero lo abbia ascolato e non ho capito perchè, ma non vale la pena parlarne ancora..."

Del Neri was clear with me, he wanted me to stay, but it looks like non of the directors listened to him and I don't understand why, theres no point talking about it any more
