Oh-my-God. :lol2:

The rest of your points are also crap, but this was just priceless.

I knew someone would bring up this point when I wrote it. I just waited for some idiot to do so.... well done :juventus:

I'll try and explain it for you. Incase you hadn't noticed Nationality plays a big part in the price of a player. It shouldn't, I know, but it does.

Look at the transfers for English players.... Wright-Phillips 24 million, Bent 18 million.... James Milner away to sign for Man City for 30 million. I could go on and on but these guys ain't even worth half of that. It's simply because they are English. It's the same with other 'big footballing nations'. A Brazillian playmaker or a Argentinian winger usually demands a bigger fee due to a variety of reasons. the main one being the hype surrounding such players.

You rarely see big fees for guys who come from smaller nations like Bosnia. I can't believe some people actually believe Dzeko is worth 33 million (40 million Euros)

Anyway this kind of naive admiration for Dzeko is very reminiscent of Diego last season... Forgive me for being a little pessimistic

I agree, it's a reality of the market, though not exactly. I think it has more to do from which league you get a player, rather than which nationality. If a team gets a player from a league of a tiny, forgotten nation like Honduras or some little country in Africa, their price is a lot, lot less than the greatest and latest from Brazil and Argentina. The greatest and latest from Serie A, or especially the Premier League and La Liga can be astronomical.

However, even with that in place, nationality does play a role, if perhaps less so in recent times. There's a perception that players from proven footballing countries are better or have more chances of succeeding than players from Bosnia or Slovakia.

Juventus to use Diego cash for new wing signing
17.08.10 | tribalfootball.com

Juventus GM Beppe Marotta insists they're prepared to stick with Diego this season.

The Brazilian is in talks with Wolfsburg, but Marotta says he will only leave for an offer of at least €18 million.

"Wolfsburg asked us for Diego, we did not offer him to them," Marotta pointed out.

Marotta has also confirmed they have three names on a short-list of wingers under consideration before the summer transfer deadline falls.

Lyon star Michel Bastos, CSKA Moscow's Milos Krasic and young Hamburg winger Eljero Elia are all on Juve's radar.

so is it clear that we never want to let diego go or considering selling him?
