Obviously. But announcing it to the world gives the impression that the market for him is open. You don't really need to announce that if there are bids for the player. It makes it sound like they're trying to peddle him.
Trust has nothing to do on this matter, I don't trust them either but they said they won't sell Diego. If they happen to sell him it will be only to buy Dzeko or someone of a high calibre, which is not a bad thing. It's not that they will sell him just to gain some money from his value.
