Perhaps because they have movement upfront when Diego looks up he sees Del Piero and Trez completly static.

Lets stop fucking around here. Sneijder is doing all the right stuff and its only right to say that he's been much more successful than Diego. Sneijder is amazing, he knows when to give the ball away and he can create some great passes. Diego on the other hand, although he doesn't get any help from our 10 year old striker partnership up front, he tends to hold the ball way too much, doesn't create and I'm missing some great, opening passes from him.

Hopefully there will be some kind of revolution in our squad next season and hopefully he'll get some good strikers and offensive players to play with cause he sure deserves to have good players around him, just like Sneijder.

Great point by Suns there. Diego holds the ball too much indeed while he should sting that pre-final pass before one of our strikers net the ball. Maybe the players know he will hold the ball longer than needed and just dont bother to move.

I wouldnt say same position they remain technically different, diego simply cant do well because of his positioning he often out of position due to tracking back and even so lets face it players around him aint exactly making it easy for him. Sneider on the other hand used to do that quite often at Ajax. Im sure next season (hopefully with better coach and players) we can see the better of diego.

His team mates can't pass for shit & are very limited offense wise.Diego is the type of player that needs protection in order to thrive.How is it his fault that he has to get in the thick of things to retrieve the ball when we lose possession?How many of of midfielders have vision?

Our defense & midfield don't connect well & the team overall doesn't defend or attack as a unit.The guy is trying so hard to impress & make a difference that he ends up being hounded by opposing players.

Like music to my ears, Mr B. Sneijder excels because he has these things, Diego does not so much. However Diego still has only scored one goal less.

I kinda agree with this. Sure, Sneijder plays in a better, more complete team, so it's obviously going to be easier for him to perform.
But let's not kid ourselves, Sneijder thinks (& acts) a lot quicker, both with & without the ball at his feet. In fact, I'm not even sure if "thinking" is the right verb, because it mostly seems like instincts, automatic reactions. Diego on the other hand usually needs time & space with the ball to figure out what exactly he's going to do.

This guy is easily one of our 3 most important players in his first season here (those players being Buffon, Chiello, and Diego), and people are crying in their soup?

Inter got a phenomenal deal on Sneijder, get over it already guys. Madrid needed to recoup some cash, and Inter took advantage. Had we ponied up the 15M, it's doubtful he would have come to Juventus anyway. If I recall, Sneijder was not too keen on Italy at first, but there are a few enticing factors at Inter right now - in case people haven't noticed - starting with their manager and recent league record.

Diego has had to adapt to a new league/style, organization/teammates, country/city, has had 2 different managers working, what, 4-5 different formations... give him a break, already. We know there's a lack of quality surrounding him, and when you consider how many injuries we've had, and how little time/continuity he's had to form chemistry with certain players - especially with our forwards, who have all missed time - well, I think that he's been quite good for us.

That 25M was money well spent, and it will pay off big time in the not too distant future (more realistically, next season). Beyond this slightly longer term prognosis, it's my opinion that presently, we wouldn't have a hope in hell at a top four spot, or winning the Europa tourney without Diego. Our ball distribution/movement has generally been repugnant, for those of you who haven't noticed; this is one of the very few players we have who keeps us moving forward, playing ball to foot. The majority of our players, especially our midfield and defense are very poor passers; most seem to have trouble making a 10 yard pass, so they consistently hoof the ball 25-35 yards up field... directly to the other team...
