DIego should start taking those free kicks instead of DP,
Yes, because he's been firing rockets lately.

That's the most disappointing thing I have with him. His shots has been weak. Apart from that, he definitely needs further support out there.

we need player around that move around without the ball, all of them stand there and wait for it to come to them, he never has a option when he brings the ball up

Well today Del Piero overdribled on many occasions...
To who should he pass? DC? Sissoko? ffs he can't do everything alone, when he had the option he instant passed. Like at the beginning where he tryed a 1-2 with Sissoko. With Sissoko! ffs It can't work, he did set up the chance for Diego with a smart move and pass. What do you expect?

Im just saying, he overdribled it on many occasions tonight. And you are right, he can't do everything alone, he should have passed more. I'm not saying he can't dribble or try, but some of the talk about del piero here is disguisting to read, as if you would have to read some fanatic schisofrenic chirsitan write about a vision where he saw a guy similar to jesus himself.

To who should he pass? I ask again. To who? No one is free or able to do something so he trys alone. Diego does that to. Why blame him for that?

Because he has the shot of a 3 year old girl. The only way to score from distance is to be extremely precise and hit an upper corner.
Yeah, I was thinking about that. He's not a great shooter our boy Diego.

Oh boy, I just want Diego and Giovinco to start playing together. Whenever I watch this goal I wonder why they didn't get more chances.

The ball needs to be moving, not being at the same place, today del piero several times had three defenders on him and he still tried to hold up the ball and dribble, if you think that is alright than i don't know what else to say.

And who said that diego should overdrible, he shouldn't do that too and he gets the blame for it too, so why is del piero immune to fair criticism? Or you think its not fair to criticise a player when he holds a ball for 10 seconds while being surrounded by three opposing players?

Reading you right now looks like, its one del piero and he can't pass to anyone, because it will end bad. With this mentality we could as well just hand the points to the opposition without even playing, del piero cant do it on his own, not every single game he cant.

You don't understand what I mean. I don't want him to dribble. But he has no opportunity sometimes. When he holds up the ball for long than it's because there is no other player who moves. And thats the main problem of this team no one moves. Everyone stops and watches what the other does with the ball. So the one with the ball, Del Piero or Diego, try to dribble to get some space and get themselfs in better positions. You can't blame him in this team at this time for holding the ball to long.

Yes, i agree that there is this problem, no one moves off the ball in the team. But when he dribbles, there are some times that he actualy does make a wrong decision to dribble and hold up the ball longer then needed and that was in most cases today. I can't blame him for wanting to do better or to create soemthing, but sometimes he decides to over do it. The same goes for diego too.

I agree that in a better team he wouldn't have to hold up ball so much and there would be less of these incidents.

Most of the top teams have players who can move quickly with and without the ball. Its essential to have these players in the modern, fast moving game. We play one player, perhaps two now, who are capable of moving quickly with and without the ball. Candreva and a heavily fatigued Diego.

Adding in Camo and Gio to that, fuck it, makes our offence capable of moving like water rather than oil. Amauri does make runs, but Trez and Dp are very static. We need to be more fluid.

If we are definitely not going to to try the 442, then for fucks sake, lets give the 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 formation another chance. This way we can still play our muscle men...and also include moe pace and vision in the final third.

Melo, Momo/marchiso
Camo/Rossi Diego Gio/Iago
Trez/Iaqu/Amauri

2-3-1
If the midfield in our present 4-3-1-2 is too static, we end up wasting a striker role, because he never gets the ball. So it is the same as playing 4-3-1-1.
