I dont really know what the point of these comments from Diego. He either will lose him or maybe spur him and motivate him. My guess is the former, from seeing how Diego is playing and acting on the field.

Back to his form. We've laying a lot on melo, caceras and others but i think hes needs to step up more than anyone. That article up the top mentions how he is confused because of the system change but he kept his position. I know its difficult with adapting and knowing where the surrounding players are but hes still way off form.

I talked before about him complicating many of his touches and passes, and his horrible movement. Over the past two games I saw him make one run into space ffs. In both systems we employed there are at least two midfielders that could provide the pass for him but he continues to have one dimension to his game and that is one of the reasons hes always been crowded out and easily marked. Compare him to kaka for example who has that variation which makes it really hard to completely mark him out of the game.

Even in Bremen he didn't always do this and that is a team that almost completely relied on him. He needs to understand that he is the main supporter to the striker(s) and the team needs him to push up and take up better positions. The team don't always need him to make the passes we have decent passers all around.

One thing that i don't like about Diego's gameplay is the way he drops back alot.

I know that he wants to help out he's teammates (which is a great attitude) but we need players like him, amauri and Gio to stay upfront both to push back the opposition defenders and to start counter attacks much faster.

I get the impression that some of our players rely on others to do their work in the team, Thats just not right.

He drops back so much because the team cannot get the ball to him up front without resorting to long balls.

Despite not being outstanding Diego has been one of our better players this season

Plain and simple, other than Kaka, Brazilians are lazy and do their own thing. They are un-coachable. I'm generalizing, but hey, if you can't see it, then you're blind.

And thats part of whats wrong in this team. Players should do their job only. If a DM can't help out the defenders and our fullbacks can't "atleast" defend well then why are they there ?!

“He has the desire to play many balls as a characteristic and so he often retreats, tracking back to get them,”

“But he also has to work on the aspects asked of him by the trainer. I am sure that he will improve.

“Above all in the first half I encouraged Diego to try and find more penetration. It has not been his problem alone, but also that of Marchisio, for example.

“Diego is a great player. I will continue to spur him on until he gets closer to goal and becomes decisive there,”
Sensationalist journalism at its best.

I'll delete everything but the actual quotes attributed to Ciro. He didn't say anything about Diego not listening to him.

Nah.. i said he was.. and i got an infarction..
i can understand u being angry at the current situation but i think its just wrong to call a juventus legend who has given us sooooooo much as a player an idiot. yes he is'nt the best at coaching but that does'nt make him an idiot or loser what so ever.

The team has not played with a true Trequartista since the days of Zidane and we played the 4-4-2, our bread-and-butter formation only as recently as 7 mths ago. Also there is a constant comparison from a particular team from Spain which is playing passing football, attacking formation for an extended period ...

If he don't drop back, how we can start our attack. With Melo and Momo poor passing and lack of vision, we can't even move the ball into opponent's half. Ferrara need to sort it if he want and instruct Diego keep forward, Melo and Momo need to improve his passing or use Tiago/Poulsen

You're a fuck, really. Clearly a Jersey saucebag convinced that Italians are the greatest ethnic group to walk the planet.

Regardless, welcome to the forums, Mitico.
