Now seriously though, I know he's loved by many on this forum but what has he done apart from the game against Roma? And we all know how Roma were when we played them.

yep he has been criminally overrated, not just by us, but by the Italian media generally...see all the fuckin' comparisons in the media to Maradona, Platini, Zidane etc...whole lotta BS flying around there...but the guy is quality, just needs to get fit again I suppose...and Ciro has to let him stay on the pitch longer

I was, and still am, probably one of Diego's harshest critics but lets not jump the gun here, Jack. Even before the season started, Diego was mentioned as having fitness concerns, him and Melo if I recall. Then the season started and he went of with a bang for a couple of 90 minute games and that fitness factor payed him back of with an injury. Now it's obvious this player doesn't have 90 minutes in his legs and as such can't possibly find his form and play well. If anyone is to blame here, it's our coach who is playing an obviously unfit player.

Then again, having a player such as him as both a blessing and a cross to bear. When he's on fire we're on fire, when he's injured/off form, we're clueless. And again, this was one of my biggest fears. Hopefuly Diego will recover after the international break and show what he is truly made of.

Yep. Axe this guy. He's clearly useless.

I'm sure Modric would do better.
Are you stupid? Did I spit on him in my post? No, I defended him.

But yeah, I'd still like to have got Modric instead of him. He at least can adopt to pretty much every system and mix things up, whereas with Diego we can only hope he stays fit and on-form, which neither he has done so far.

Assisted Iaquinta's goal vs Chievo (was MOTM in hist first 2 games in Juve shirt, in fact). Was menacing Lazio before he got injured and been off form since...

Thank you!

I am saying this for the last matches, he is not fit, why does Ferrara insists on starting with him? I remember after the Genoa match (could be other match thou, not sure) Ferrara admitted that it was wrong to start with unfit players, at the time where he started with both Diego and Zebina, do you guys remember this incident? He said it was wrong to start with unfit players, yet he keeps starting with unfit players, he never learns his mistake. And I am not talking about this match only, remember we took Diego off against Bayern too because of his fitness, where we could use him in the second half, he could have done much better..

Yes, I'm stupid, you're smart, I'm rubber, you're glue, sticks and stones break my bones but words will never hurt me, et cetera.

We tried Diego, Gio , Camo as trequartistas. non of them played full potential. Ferrara's fault? Full backs' fault? or strikers fault?

Diego is still the best choice for trequartista. He's shown it in one or two games how good he can be.. he just needs to meet that potential again. In fairness its hard to be great when the whole team plays terribly and he's still coming back from an injury.

I stay by my word, no one will get back to his form before Del Piero comes back.
