Now that u are talking about taht one of the reasons of Ranieri´s exit was the exclution of gio from the team.... i want to ask you something...
Dont you think the board had enough power por practically force ranieri to field him?. I mean...everyone and their momma saw that Gio was talented and helped to get goals... but he never fielded him. In some games i even saw the 3 stoogies mad as hell when we were losing or drawing in that infamous streak of bad games.... dont you think they coudnt go something like "Hey claudio, better field giovinco or you go bye bye" or something?.
The only explanation i find...is ranieri telling them that we had a crap defense blabla and gio was not going to help the DMs to recover balls, so it was better for him to not play.
But if u ask me...Myself being Jiggly or Blank, i would have forced ranieri to make him play at least once to try somethign different.
I just hope that the 3 stoogs dont rate Giovinco like ranieri did.

that wasn't THE reason, maybe it contributed but the poor results and the fans disliking of him were reasons for sure
now let's just hope we get a coach who brings us the results and trophies we deserve and what number which player is getting is a footnote
