No Giovinco, No Diego, an unproven Krasic, an injury prone Aquilani and Del Piero retiring really soon!!
What can we look forward to in this Juventus?
it's not like we have the winning mentality of our days of glory, or the distinction and respect we had in the past.
I mean what can a team do with a limited number of champions (Marchisio, Chiellini, Buffon) and a bunch of Brazzo's and Pepe's?
Sadly I see we are becoming a midtable team selling our youngsters and better players to buy old and average ones.
I hear juventini say it's ok if we sell Diego only if we get Aguero or some other world class player. and I say they are spot on!!!
If we sell Diego it better be to sign someone who would set Serie A on fire and help us achieve CL glory; if not what is the difference between us and other Fallen Giants like Ajax, are we to become one of those Once Great teams that the minute they get a promising player we automatically sell?
I was drawn to Juventus by its great players and the teams attitude in which it even lost with respect and dignity.
When Del Piero retires what will remain? A couple of great players on a sinking ship, a team without even an aim to win a Scudetto or Champions League.
I remember the tales of the Juve of Old, a team to be respected and feared, a team that made the most of what it got and in that fashion won titles like Uefa cups, Intercontinental Supercups and Intertoto.
It makes me sad that we were in the uefa cup last year and we didn't even make it to Semifinals.
I wonder what will the future bring for us Juventini, I hope is not to take pride in single performances (like we are now), but in titles won and won the right way.
