you are all hyping up Dzeko as if he's the next Pele, seriously shouldn't those who are complaining about diego, also be worried that Dzeko is coming from the same league?

Besides that as I said before no big money striker since 2003 (ronaldo to real) ever worked out. Just look at chelsea and shevchenko or Ibra to Inter. Or the great ones in the past couple of years have been roughly 15 million to 20 million.

One last point, I know this has been mentioned about a million times, who's gonna create for us? Giovinco and diego gone, and Del Piero too old.

If Dzeko is as great , then why don't we just sell some of our other players and get another 16 million ourselves?
I pretty much agree, superstar strikers tend to flop more than players in other positions due to fact that they are hugely reliant on other players and they may not to find that special chemistry with other players in their new team. Especially in our case with the limited midfield players.

How much did Torres and Forlan cost in 2007 for their new owners? :p

^^

We should keep Diego and bid for Benzema. Benzema is the typical player who real madrid buy never use and ends up to be amazing for another team. We have a good track record with french players of late too, I'm sure he wouldn't cost much either (roughly 17 million) kinda like the sneijder situation.

Should defiantly get Benzema. Juventus have great french players. Plantini, Zidane, Trezeguet.

the question is are these 3.8 after taxes or not? and what about the 7.5 mil?
3.8 is after tax for sure. That's the net amount Diego gets.
I don't know about the 7.5m, but if it's not after tax then it means that he'll get the same wage in Wolfsburg that he gets in Juve and I doubt Diego will go to Wolfsburg for the same wages.

thx

because bild wrote that he earns around 8 mil at juve and that wolfsburg will offer him only 7 mil or something like that.... so i think the 7.5 mil are not after the tax...
i know bild is a bad source but everyone is quoting them on this deal....
wolfsburg may have some cash but i don't see them double his wages after such a season....

BILD were wrong about the 8m Juve pay for his wages.
3.8m eur is what Diego gets net and that's 57% of the total.
That means that 43%, or 2.8m eur, go for taxes and that the total amount paid for his wages is 6.6m eur.

Now, I don't know how high the taxes are in Germany. In Italy the taxes are 43% which means that from a 6.6m eur total, the player will get 3.8m eur net. In England the taxes are 50% which means that from a 6.6m eur total the player will get 3.3m eur net. In Spain the taxes are 20% which means that from a 6.6m eur total the player will get 5.3m eur (that's why the Spanish teams can pay higher net wages).

the taxes in germany should be nearly the same as in italy....i'm a student so i don't pay taxes yet :D

but the taxes should be around 45% ....but things could be different when he is married and stuff like that
