I never said I wanted him out. It was purely for squad limitation reasons, and because he would be easier to sell than most of our other players. He still has a few good years in him, and is a quality player. In fact I'm starting to shudder at the thought of our CM if injuries creep in next season. It's starting to look thin.

Why are we busying ourselves trying to offload an essential player while we still have Grosso, Salihamidzic, Zebina and Tiago still in our squad?

Guess Marotta hasn't found an assassin to take them out yet since that seems to be the only way to get rid of them.

Strange that you shudder at the though of our CM if injuries creep but you are still reaction-less that we are to have a season with Melo or Momo or both occupying our midfield.

What are these in comparison to Poulsen's wages? Have you had a talk with Turk about the Danes wages? Have you? Do you know how much he suffered the past two season?

What's your point? He is not over-rated when you consider the other garbage we have.
He's actually very overrated around these parts. It's no wonder why only Wolfsburg and Shalke are in for him at around 16m too.

Come on. Apparently we will cease to be able to get the ball up to the strikers witout this guy. Which is a load of shit because even with him last year we couldn't do anything. Diego is not some creative juggernaut like everyone makes him out to be. He dwells on the ball far too long and tries to dribble too many people before he either looses the ball or puts in a poofter shot that looks like it was kicked by Barbra Streisand

We gambled on Diego last year. We even changed our formation to accomodate him. Even though we didn't have the players to play a 4-3-1-2. We looked good playing a 4-4-2 before that. Compact and able defensively. Respectable result against Chelsea in the CL even though we lost.

Then we changed everything for one player. And needless to say we did shit. All the players we had before we got Diego were used to playing the 4-4-2. So essentially we changed everything for one player. Which should never have heppened it was the stupidest thing ever.

Changing from a formation that worked to one that most obviously didn't work. All for one player.

Diego is a nifty little player but unfortunately he does not fit the the system we will be playing.

Diego had only one season and even in that he was decent, better than the others. He too needs better players around him and he'd shine this year.

I'm afraid we'll be getting Dzeko if this happens. Not that I hate Dzeko, far from it, but who the hell is going to create chances. It's like two years ago, when we all used to cry for creativity! We're even worse now when we have Pepe out there.

If we do get Dzeko and defenders then we're fucking clueless. But I doubt, or hope better, that Marotta knows what he's doing.
Yes we did, but even then we scored more goals than last year.

So you blame last season totally on Diego, we get it.

Diego is our most creative player besides Del Piero. Even if he doesn't pass the ball like a Xavi he still makes solid runs and is a creative threat around the box. His lateral movements with the ball and his through balls around the box ARE creative, along with how he takes on players.

Do you seriously think a straight 4-4-2 with two mediocre wingers, Sissoko, and two target men will provide us efficient chances? Really?

Give me a break here. Think about this a bit more thoroughly. You're still on the knee-jerk response from last season.

yeah, cuz his replacement in the starting XI doesn't do that? :andyandbarcelona:
