IMO now is the best time to by him, cuz in some time his price is gonna shoot. It's around 15m IIRC.
His contract with Werder ends next June. He refuses to sign a new one and make the same mistake Dzeko made. It's speculated that his intentions are to stay in Bremen this year and then next season, as a free agent, to pick a team by himself and earn much higher wages.

Werder Bremen should be putting him on the market and looking for buyers then.

We could get Krasic and Özil for the money used on Dzeko as well.

They play Champions League this year and he is their main player. With less than a year left on his contract, his price is low and no team is paying a lot when they can pay the buyout clause. Werder might get some cash if they sell him now, but they will gain even more if they qualify for CL (they play CL qualifications this August) or pass the CL groups, and without Ozil their chances are much lower to do that.
I think it was mutual agreement between Ozil and Werder. Since he refuses to sign a new contract he gets to play one more year in Bremen, for small wages may I add, make the team better with his presence, and then next year he leaves as a free agent and gets to choose his club and his wages.

I'd love to see the reactions here if Adebayor plays for Juve then makes one of his customary misses from the 6 yard box. It would be nice to see Andy's posts about him and Vinny's nickname for him :D

So they want to keep him so they can qualify for this years CL and next years CL? It's very weird to see a player as young and talented to potentially move on a free transfer.

:agree: Personally I won't mind Adebayor. What's his price?
I don't like him, he costs too much.

He collects €4,5m annually for his services from Man City.

The nickname would be too easy :D

Because he was very average for Bayern Munich last season, and yes I did watch him alot.

I think certain people get confused and sometimes starey eyed at watching certain players impress at the World Cup and that's happened with Ozil and Muller this year.
I don't believe Özil had an average year for Bremen last season, he's been very good at club level.

I know I liked him a lot when the majority were fawning over Diego.
