Sending him to Germany would be a collosal mistake. If we get rid of him, then we need to find an attacking midfielder of equal or greater quality anyway or suffer the consequences.

I guess it was after that meeting.

--

Tuttosport understands he held talks with Dzeko’s entourage in the Hotel Pala near Juventus’ pre-season training camp in Varese.

He later had a meeting with Diego to discuss his future, which may or may not be linked with any move for Dzeko.

It’s widely believed that Diego is the key to negotiations for Dzeko as Juventus would be able to slash the amount they would need to pay for the Bosnian by offering the Brazilian in exchange.

Holding a meeting with Diego is for sure to convince him to leave.

Think about it. Why would he meet with him and tell him “hey, Diego, you’ll stay ;)

I guess he’s presenting him an offer, maybe from Hamburg to get Elia and Aogo or for Wolfsburg to get Dzeko.

Well, Marotta said his priority is Dzeko and a right winger + leftback.
Dzeko with cash and Poulsen or Momo (or even Tiago)
Elia + Aogo for Diego and Marotta has everything he wants...
... not that I like it, but it seems realistic, i guess

Rumours. I'm entirely against selling Diego, even if he is used in a straight swap for Dzeko.

A RW and a LB are far more of a priority than a Striker at this point in time. If we don't have the money, then we can simply wait until next season and focus all our efforts on a striker, depending on whether we will be competing in the CL or not. As for this season, with us in the EL and with Serie A in constant decline, I don't see a need to splash money on Dzeko.

“If I won’t be useful here, then send me to Germany”
First of all he said that he will not return to Germany, and he said it not like everything else that is coming out, 99% of the things the papers report Diego saying he never did, he has only given 2 interviews this season and both times he said that he is staying
