Ball winning and holding are more or less the same thing. I just felt that holding was a better description of what would be needed in the formation that was posted.

We'll need a great defenisve midfielder to play diego in a diamond type formation...neother melo or sissoko would be great at it...the player will need to be able to tackle well, breakdown opposition and pass the ball well...

nonetheless, having krasic, diego and vargas all in the same midfield would make us play attractive football.
