I did, untill Iaquinta owned him.. to me he is overhyped & just a bridge between the older generation like Canna & Nesta and the new generation (although it is too early to tell just who might end up world class, maybe Chiellini and ??) Sorry, but i just think Barzagli isnt the solution and definatelty won't be in the future, tho i do think he would be suited for a UEFA cup team like Fiorentina

im not so sure. i believe he will be very good. and if we can possibly lon out criscito to Palermo and get him that could be a very good thing as crisito would get game time and we would have consistent solid defender.
he has been very good for the azzuri of late and is desperate for a move out of Palermo.

I think he could be solid at best, and yes he would improve us but im trying to say that hes nothing special and is more of a Iuliano kind of player who cant take the next step..

really. i didnt know that. but im saying if we got him in jan he would be a good consistent defender and also as a backup for CL next year.

CBs are rarely that unbelieveably good anyway...players like Canna and Nesta are extremely rare...

give barzagli a chance. maybe at a bigger club he will have the players around him that could make him shine. and i never said he would be on the level that cannavarro is. but sadly no we arent producing many centerbacks that are. now its all mids.
although chiellini might have a chance at being that good.

thank you! whenever i say things like taht about materazzi(not here) people think i don't know anything, especially when i was pissed that he was called for the WC. in the end, he was a key player, and i everything i said made me look stupid(although he did get a red card like i predicted) but i still think that before the WC, he was average at best.

I like Diego because he moves freely on the pitch and he has defensive skills.

look at Bremen's games when there's noone on defense he comes out of nowhere with an excelent tackle.
