No he hasn't. It's Metzelder from Dortmund who has.

I can see why you'd be mistaken though. Their names are kind of similar.
Kinda strange he wanted to correct me in this point though. Maybe the names sound similar but I oughta know who is playing for Werder and who's not. No big deal afterall...

tuttosport - Juventus: Observed Diego of Werder

It would be Diego Ribas Da Cunha, 22 years old Werder's midfielder, the first name in Alessio Secco's list. The Brazilian player had been for long time observed by Real Madrid during the summer purchases, so that to protect himself from the attacks of "merengues", the club has renewed the contract until 2011. However, the player could become free before that date if to search him would be a "great" team, as included by clause included in the contract. And this great team could be just Juventus. that follow him since his observers went to Bremen for Thorsten Frings. The player, especially not to be underestimated, has also the Italian passport.

I really hope he will either come to Juve or Real Madrid since I support both of them. But would prefer to see him in Juve since he would be very essential to us. Real Madrid don't really need him and they have the money to go for Kaka again during the summer.

Juve eye 'new Kaka’

Juventus are watching Werder Bremen’s Brazilian starlet Diego and considering a January swoop, according to reports in the peninsula.

The 22-year-old midfielder has already represented the Selecao 24 times and has dazzled fans in Germany’s Bundesliga, where he was Spetember’s Player of the Month.

The Bianconeri have made an impressive start to the campaign, but many believe they are lightweight in the middle as Tiago Mendes is yet to shine.

As contract talks with captain Alessandro Del Piero continue to stutter, speculation that the Old Lady could turn to a younger alternative increases.

Ex-Porto man Diego is under contract at the Weserstadion until 2011, but he has a rescission clause that could be activated if one of Europe’s giants such as Juve made an approach.

According to Tuttosport, the Cadetti champions have had scouts watching Diego and are ready to fight Real Madrid for his signature.

While the asking price is likely to be astronomical, one factor that points to a move to Serie A is that Diego has Italian citizenship in addition to his Brazilian passport.
