They have too many players in that position right now. An attacking midfielder is the last thing they'd need.

Then again, knowing Real Madrid, making sensible purchases is also the last thing they'd do.
Well actually Real Madrid lack a quality attacking midfielder, they only have Guti and can also use Raul in that position(but not the best solution). They have Robinho, Sneijder, Robben, Drenthe on the wings, so they aren't really attacking midfielders. + Real might actually like the fact that Robinho and Diego have played together before and that he will be cheaper than KAKA ( I really hope that isn't the case)

true but going for him over Kaka would mean the Madrid president would accept the defeat. He promised the Madristas Kaka, Robben and someone else .. i can't remeber who

He got Robben .. but Kaka is the one he wants the most.

I think we can step in and sign Diego if we should the right desire and are willing to pay whatever is asked for him. I think he is one of those few players who is worth every dollar spent for him.

I mean:

------------Trez------------
Iaquinta-- Diego----Camo

-------Zanetti---Nocerino/Tiago

that would be awesome ..and with Ale, Palla and Marchionni ..Juventus will have a great team

:D

Sneider is actually an attacking mid or a center midfielder played as a winger in Real.

Real Madrid president promised Robben, Cesc Fabregas and Kaka.

PS: I like the idea of playing a 4-2-3-1 formation. But I doubt that Tiago will be effective. I would prefer to see Sissoko or Gilberto Silva play along Zanetti.

Juventus Offer Tiago For Diego

Juventus have once again been linked with Werder Bremen playmaker Diego, with Portuguese paper O Jogo claiming they will make a cash-plus-player offer for the Brazilian.

The 22-year-old Diego is rated as one of the most promising midfielders in world football and recently admitted that he would like to move to Serie A.

“I hope to have the opportunity to play in Italy one day where the football is very famous,” Diego said a few weeks ago.

Bianconeri boss Claudio Ranieri has money to spend in the January transfer window and has identified a creative central midfielder as one of his primary transfer targets.

Juve have at times looked rather methodological in midfield, with only Mauro Camoranesi, who has been injured for most of the campaign, offering any spark.

Big summer signing Tiago Mendes was supposed to be the man to pull the strings in the middle-of-the-park but he has been a huge disappointment thus far and is almost certain to leave in January.

O Jogo is claiming that Juve will offer Bremen a significant cash offer, plus Tiago, in order to bring Diego to Turin.

Diego shot to fame in Brazil as a 17-year-old when he formed a devastating partnership at Santos with Real Madrid star Robinho. The duo led the team to the Brazilian Championship in 2002.
