well capello was available since he was unemployed, as was didi, but juve were all set to sign didi as the manager, even didi has confirmed this, untill the latest agnelli member passed away and his last wishes were to hire capello at juve, who at the time was all set to take over inter

at the time it was, some said it was on the paper the greatest midfield partnership at the time
Defensively it probably was..but like i said Fans normally prefer a creative force in midfield.

Cappello was still employed by Roma, he walked out in the night.

But im sure ive read somewhere that it was the great mans dying wish.

Fred has a point, surely the ultra would have wanted a creative player next to Emo, not Paddy, who imho isnt known for his great passing, but merely for his good link up play (he isnt going to create much and he didnt really did he.)

Im pretty convinced Paddy was the next stage in the cappello masterpiece. Two holding midfielder who can work hard and contribute at the other end.

The more i think about it, paddy is the perfect player for cap, but not the ultras.

emerson-viera was nt bad at all... n viera made a really superb start at Juve by scoring goals with his forward runs...
From what i remember he scored a few headers from set pieces.

I dont rememebr him lighting up the field with his creativity. Camo/Neddy had blinders that season. They created the majority / long balls to Zlatan.

never said otherwise..
vieira was that so called creative force, it was he who wud build the play up from midfield, or so he was spose to do
Vieira and creativity dont fit in the same sentence...I agree with #10 his link up play was pretty good..But in no way was he creative.

With no offence Badass but you are contradicting yourself. First you've said ultras want creative midfielder to fill the gap that Zizou left, and all of sudden ultras wanted Viera too who is no near to creative :disagree: I agree tha ultras could have some influence and board listen to them but only when the board found that good too, they will not buy player just cuz some fans told them. Do you really thing that any coach would want to lead us if fans are going to buy him players. And by your statements it seems that fans brought all good players to the club and all bad brought board (it seems we never needed Moggi). And all your arguments failed when you said that Zlatan is only Capello wish, cuz there you shows our "hate" towards him cuz he left us in hardest times, like fans (ultras) weren't excited by his arrival :disagree:

moggi was needed, he was vital since he was the best at his job

perhaps the idea back then of having vieira and emo was quite attractive, as i said on paper it looked like an unbeatable partnership, but now it seems they wud rather have sum1 attacking, perhaps now realising how vital zizou's absense has been, but we are all human, even the fans themselves dont always know what is good for the club, or make errors in judgements.

Im sure we wanted a playmaker back then, however we knew Cappello and we knew we werent gonna ever get anything but two dms, so we were happy we at least got one of the best midfield drivers of all time.

Hey, Juve is not a Santa who fullfils your wishes, nor FM where you buy and sell players however you want...
