This might be the reason

A representative of Werder Bremen star Diego has announced that the Brazilian has signed for Juventus.

The in-demand midfielder has been a target for the Old Lady for the last few months and has stressed his desire to join the Bianconeri.

While negotiations are progressing fast no deal has been officially completed as yet, but one of the agents who protects Diego's interests believes it has been rubber-stamped.

“Diego has signed for Juventus and the player and the two clubs involved have reached an agreement,” agent Giacomo Peralito told German magazine Kicker.

“Juve are on the stock exchange and so they can't declare anything before May 31.”

Peralito claims that a deal was completed on Wednesday after a morning meeting in Bremen with Jean-Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco present.

Kicker insists that Diego will be sold for around £24m and will sign a five-year contract worth £4m per season

Diego sent me 2nd SMS message in less than 5hours. Here's what he thinks "Folks, I don't know whether Badass predicted my arrival here but according to myself Moggi and I never spoke nor we sat on the same table with Badass"

Obviously he says that he never met Moggi nor he had any contact with Juve board 2 years ago.

Diego 'signs' Juventus deal
Agent claims midfielder has agreed five-year contract with Italians

Werder Bremen's Diego has signed for Juventus in a €25million (£22.3m) deal, according to the midfielder's agent.

Giacomo Petralito claims the 24-year-old Brazil international has agreed a five-year contract with the Italian giants and will complete the transfer at the end of the season.

Diego has been an integral part of Uefa Cup finalists Werder's side since arriving from Porto in 2006 and he has been linked with Bayern Munich in the past.

But the player's representative, Petralito, claims his client has opted to leave Germany in order to make a big-money move to Serie A.

Petralito told Kicker: "Diego has signed for Juventus. Everything happened last Wednesday."

Diego, who is suspended for the Uefa Cup final against Shakhtar Donetsk, has scored 33 goals in 87 matches. He has also won 38 caps for Brazil and scored seven times.
