He has more goals this season as a midfielder than any of our strikers have. Why the hell doesn't Secco just offer them what they want. As expected, he can't seal the deal and we may end up not signing him as a result. I don't like this Allofs guy....
You can't blame Secco for trying to negotiate the price.

If we are the only team trying to negotiate, expect Werder to speak about the negotiations a lot in the next few days to try and bring in other teams to try and drive the price up.

The first bold I agree with you Red, but how long has he been trying to negotiate the price? That is where I have a problem. Either Secco is stubborn or Bremen know Secco is an amateur and are planning taking advantage of that.

The second bold is a concern for me. Smart business from Bremen to squeeze every penny they can out of us or whoever ends up paying. Dumb on our part for taking this long giving them an opportunity to play this game and also for giving another team plenty of time to just write a check.

You forget that there are two parties to the negotiation.

We can't force Werder to talk if they don't want to.

Most negotiation thus far has been with Diego's agent, not with Werder.

True. But then again, a lot could have happened that that media has not uncovered yet. I am thinking that Allofs is just playing hardball. If Juve really want him, then they are gonna have to pay up.

At this point we really need to bite the bullet and give them the 26m if that is what they're holding out for. We can't drag our feet again this summer or we will most definitely miss out on the good players again.

Fact of the matter is we need Diego. A lot. If we sign him that would most likely mean a change of formation and a new system. That would be refreshing and a good thing.

If Diego signs for us. Which formation do you think "The Scarecrow" will field?

Camoranesi(CM) Marchisio(CM) Sissoko(CM)
Diego(AMF)

OR

Camoranesi(RM) Sissoko(DM) Giovinco(LM)

Diego(AMF)

I prefer the second one becuase thats the only way to let Giovinco to grow. Otherwise, Giovinco will really be the new Miccoli:wallbang:. Apart from Seba's situation, with the second formation we will destroy everyone:pimp:
