That's fantastic. Our worst nightmares, someone with more money to spend wants the same player we do.
There will always be competitions to get those highly rated players anyways. We can't drop interest in those players everytime a club comes knocking on they're doors. That means we will never ever sign any highly rated players with that mentality.

Chelsea apparently want him now as well
Wasn't the source for this the "daily mirror", or some horseshit like that? I mean, Tuttosport is rubbish, and usually wrong, but they've been linking Diego hard lately, with some pretty forward quotations from his dad.

You could say that those quotes are fake (which we can't confirm), but I remember some previous quotes from last year attributed to Diego's father which Diego quickly rejected, clarifying that he hadn't said he wanted Juventus (out of respect for Bremen). I remember Diego moving pretty quickly to refute those quotes.

He hasn't moved to clarify any "misquotes" by his father this time, which makes me think that he could very well be anxious for a move to Juventus.

Our team does have a pretty strong foundation, with some good young players and a new stadium on the way. We performed quite well in the CL, and will only get better. He could be a major player in the renaissance of Juventus, leading us back to glory - there has to be some allure in that, right? Considering how he's consistently stated how much he appreciates the Italian championship, and Juventus is the most nationally decorated Italian team?

Very well said. I see us building a team around him. This guy can become one of the best! He is not the replacement for Nedved, but the replacement for Zidane....
