im usually an avid supporter of DD on the forums but after todays match i was irate with coaching and game plan. even though modena stacked 10 at the back and were playing for the draw as a coach you should play to break that def NOT PLAY FOR A DRAW!!

-his positioning and strange substitution methods are killing us

- we can't seem to find the back of the net consistently even though we have the talent to blow out clubs every time we step on the pitch

- he has not fully addressed our back line and not coped for our weaknesses

- at the end of the day i still feel that he is not instilling a winning mindset among his players. we are a prideful club with a lifetime worth of success but does anyone else think that he is destroying our swagger?

- does anyone really think that this team with DD at the helm can compete in A? we can barely steal a goal at Modena when we previously handled them 4-0, drawing even with sorry a$$ clubs like albinoleffe, and genoa and losing to mantova!

i am not calling for his head (or job), i just want to see if we are falling off. i understand that we are at the top of the table but IMO i dont think we can compete in A, not right now anyway.

We cant compete in Serie A right now.Everyone agrees with that, even DD himself. We'd get reinforcements in the summer which which would make us a competitve squad again.Everyone makes the 'we have players with the talent to blow everyone away' statement. What everyone doesnt realise is that those very players lack motivation right now.You could be the best player in the world, but if you arent motivated enough and you arent thinking straight, then you're pretty average. Its not just about your physical talents, its about your mental condition too,and the latter is where our players are suffering and understandably so.A coach can only do so much to motivate the players. When they go on the pitch, they're on their own.

Didier Deschamps has breathed a huge sigh of relief after Juventus snatched a late winner at Modena on Monday night.
An 86th minute Matteo Centurioni own goal was enough for the Bianconeri to collect a 1-0 win, their first on the road since December 19, and return to the top of the Serie B table.
I had almost given up hope:disagree: , having dominated the first half we paid for our efforts in the second,” explained the Coach.
“The substitutions didn’t help either, but we got back on track in the last 15 minutes and deserved a goal for our efforts.
“It would have been a real shame had we not won, but I am happy with the team’s attitude throughout – it was spot on right from the beginning.”
Substitute Valeri Bojinov, who is currently in Turin on a co-ownership deal from Fiorentina, proved decisive as his cross for David Trezeguet was headed into his own goal by a diving Centurioni.
“Valeri hasn’t been granted much playing time recently, but when I saw that Del Piero was flagging I thought I’d make the change,” added DD. “It wasn’t easy for him to immediately adapt to the match, but he did very well.
“It was a positive performance, for him and for us. He has quality, he just needs to grow and have patience.”
Pavel Nedved was also pleased with the win, although he admits it wasn’t easy at all.
“It was a challenging match and we did very well, especially in the first half,” noted the Czech player.
“We should have been more precise, but sometimes this is how you win. We had many scoring opportunities and they had hardly any. I am content with how we played.”

I´m also satisfied with the win, especially because we won away after 2 months. I´d also like for Juventus to perform for the full 90 minutes like they performed in the first half.

I´m happy for Bojinov. :pint:

Now we are 5 points clear of the third placed team, Piacenza. If we beat them the next match we will be 8 points clear of them. We need to start increasing the gap between our promotion rivals.

Like I said it before, we don't need a couple of players or so, we need a new team, we sold a team last year while we needed transfers then, but we didn't buy what we supposed to do in return, this team can play in serie A.. to battle for an intertoto place maybe..

I didnt like DDs comment about Boji's substitution as it showed that he was very uncertain of his decision and this is possibly the worst attribute you would find in a manager.
it also shows that he doesn't have a plan or a backup plan for that game.

The team is doing better and the performances r improving but he still needs to show us something.

As was mentioned here before, we'll be humiliated in serie A :agree:

:agree::agree: thats why i have been screaming about DD getting these guys in the proper mindset. i understand that we are in B and dont have a scudetto to play for and that we are penalized and the word scandal is inappropriately tagged to us but it is the coaches job to look past all that get his players to play.

i dont hate DD, he is one of my fav players and icons but does anyone think that we could be in the same situation with just any coach?

It depends on who is the coach. and what do you mean by "in the same situation"?? being top of serie B, or suffering in all our away games???

both.
i mean do you think DD is really doing a good job or could any coach be at the top of the table with the talent we have in B and do you think that the matches we have suffered in away games were due to some tough competition?

TBH, I give 95% of credit of being top of B to the players, not to DD.
with any coach we would be top ! I didnt see DD influence the outcome of any game positively!
We also suffer because we lack a plan B in our game, also coz DD doesnt use his 3 subs and if he did, he use them very late in the game !

I'm 100% with you on that one.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Deschamps, he was an exceptional player at Juventus and I hold him dear and everything, but I doubt his abilities as a coach. Next year we'll see if he has got what it takes. I'm not calling for his head yet.
