I would love to have VDV here, but there is no point in it. Diego would probably fit better as a support striker.

I'd want VDV a little deeper.

Why all the bashing? One striker will probably leave and we're getting him.

I think he will do great. Every season he's doing wonders at Udine, scoring and assisting many. As long as Diego stays, he will be a very good signing.
He's a good player, very good even. He's made for small clubs though.. Ambitionless.. I'll never forget how he looked like the happiest man alive when he scored vs slovenia, while italy were on the brink of elimination.

And where the hell are we going to field him?

This.

We need aerial ability. Dzeko would have been perfect, big shame really.

But 7m for a 33 year old... seriously. I'm happy to add him to the squad but really this is just another distraction from the obvious problems on our left side. We don't really need a new support striker, we're getting rid of Trezeguet not DP.

the only logical explanation i can think of would be trez forcing our hand to to let him go, which if true would be a dick move out of him so close to the end of the mercato, so its basically a straight swap i imagine we get 6-7 for trez then use that to get Di Natale, the latter might even get lower wages
