There are a lot of interesting places and good restaurants to attend in Detroit, but nobody really cares as Detroit is labeled murder city.

Yes, we have known each other for a long time Graham. Perhaps that's why I became pissed at that post, as I didn't think you'd start blasting the place where I'm from as I would never poke fun of your family without reason. There is nothing internally wrong with your family situation; I made such a post out of spite. Don't take it seriously.
Well I did. And considering my knowledge of Graham's past, it particulary made me a little angry.
Again, I have no reason at all to make fun of Detroit, nor the knowledge required to make a truly offensive statement about the place.

Regarding my past... I hope you'd agree with me that I've been nothing but respectful with regards to sensitive issues, from Heysel to September 11 to the many religious discussions we've had on these forums. Most members of the forum are familiar with my values and character, and the last thing I'd do is make a distasteful joke about people less fortunate than myself.
If you were you simply poking fun at the verbiage of my comment
Bingo.

Did some Wikipedia-ing on Detroit, and it turns out that it's a sister city to none other than Torino, Italy

    Bingo.
While I respect good jokes about myself, I just cannot take kindly to a joke that in my opinion encompasses all sorts of people... I thought you were making a joke out of how I was defending Detroit, a place that has people hating it merely because of comedic jokes that destroy the reputation of the city. None of these rankings help the city whatsoever, and people who have never been to the place dish out negative judgement on it all the time. It does become offensive in some instances. That's why I reacted so harshly. I do not mean anything of what I stated towards your family.

I thought you were from South Korea, Gray...
My family live in South Korea and moved to Australia before I was born, but I guess you could say that I'm technically North Korean, since both of my father's parents are from North Korea. They escaped to South Korea during the war, but none of their other family members made it out, so they've no way of knowing whether or not they're alive.

The reason why I responded in the fashion that I did is because you are supposedly a Christian missionary
Yeah, well recite the number of sexual positions named after your hobbies, pal.

Now if you'll excuse me, the neighbor's German shepherd and I need to do a little meteorologist action.

Blah, blah, blah... If you gave a shit you would go donate your time in a soup kitchen or something. As it happens I generally go help out at a women's shelter in souther WV during the holidays(Xmas).
Hey, Enron. Let's leave your racket to score on chicks for the holidays outta this.

Detroit is so passé. They at least have a police department. I remember living in fancy-pants Palo Alto when East Palo Alto was murder capital of America not that long ago. EPA did nothing but have to call in for backup support from every neighboring town to clean stuff up. And to keep it from bleeding over, they actually came on mutual aid calls all the time!

I was in Torino last month. Nowhere did anybody mention Detroit. Salt Lake City, yes (don't ask why I'm in a freak SLC mood lately ... per my latest avatar, must be all that Carnival of Souls movie stuff mixed with hanging in the abandoned amusement park land of Asbury Park, NJ).
