Maybe Dp was unfortunate and inconsistent this season but he is and will always be a fuoriclasse just like roberto baggio, so there is no need to discuss his worth as everything is clear. furthermore, you cannot compare chelsea to juve...
I hope DP will take part in the European nations cup so as to show his unmatched class.-and shut the dirty mouths!

Seriously, you guys overrate Del Piero big time. Alex was once one of the best players in the world and is still capable of putting on a show for the fans. His form last season was good enough for him to be reknowned as one of the top support strikers in Europe, and some performances such as the ones against Madrid and Roma were outstanding, but he hasn't been half as good this season. He has been unfortunate with injuries and what not, but you've got to realise that what Chelsea can offer us for DP is most likely more than he's worth.

How can u pretend to know what a player is worth?
It's not about recent performances, it's about innate potentiel, otherwise all those one-shot players such as mutu or denilson would be worth billions
It's true performances are the heart of the game, but one shouldn't give'em too much importance when it comes to long term prospects as the DP of next season will probably be very different from the one ur now criticizing. And u'll all sing his praises!!

We're not pretending to know what he's worth, we're saying that since his reputation is good in world football, we'll probably get such a high price for him that it'll definitely be worth more than what he can contribute to us anymore.

Innate potential? And how much of that has DP shown ever since his injury crisis'? He's not exactly young anymore, and he's had plenty of seasons to regain the form that made him one of the greatest prospects in world football, but quite frankly I think Juve fans all over the world are sick and tired of being disappointed by his sluggish performances year after year.

Mutu isn't one-shot, he's total class and he was a quality player even at Verona. To judge him based on his performances at Chelsea is like saying that the whole Inter squad is crap. It's not his fault that he hardly ever gets played.

Del Piero is not a long-term prospect, he's a man who desperately needs to raise his game if he's to be remembered as a true great in the next few decades.

How can you say that one shouldn't give performances too much importance!? We can't sit there and watch him lose possession and be ineffective and just laugh it off, saying for the umpteenth time "Oh, he was a good player once. Maybe he can do it again".

    I totally agree with Gray,
But I personally like DP, it was because of him in 94 (I was only 6), that I started supporting Juve. He was sooooo promising then, I just hope he can be a great player once more

I`m not that sure about DP getting back to be like in the 96 season but a help from the 2nd striker would be nice

22 million euros plus Mutu in the deal and then they can start talking. but in the end, Del piero wont leave juve.

Inter has a bunch of skilled and talented players But they have a problem with MENTALITY and ATTITUDE....
That's my point exactly. You can't say that Inter don't have talented players, they just don't know how to use them
