Its 433 what I said. Perhaps I should say it like this: in the formation that I said, when in possession, the CM/AM plays more forward. So there’s no classic regista as we are seeing a lot nowadays. This midfielder drops back while defending. So the midfield that I showed in my previous post is how they will stand in possession
With 4231, as we saw with Allegri in 2017, the trequartista/AM is basically a SS. He stays forward while defending. It looks more like a 442 as that AM doesn’t defend a lot. This is why Dybala is very suited to play in this role instead of the other.
I also have to say that I don’t like Bentancur around the penalty area of the opponent, I think he’s more of use when he stays a bit more behind. I don’t know Arthur good enough to say this; but he seems to have the right characteristics to do this aswel.
Btw I dislike the idea of always using a regista, as I haven’t seen a great regista like Pirlo, meanwhile we can’t forget the idea of using one. There’s room to argue that we haven’t been using Pjanic in the right role for example.

I agree on the possibility of seeing Zaniolo as a CM, could be his future position indeed. But I think this will work aswel.
