He will get there. Nothing strange if a player at his age needs some time to adapt, especially because he’s been used in multiple positions.

He was something special last year, his strength and his ability to twist and turn were something else. Also his decision making and weak foot seemed to be a lot better compared to this year.

I think the big difference between last year and this year is that he doesn’t have a guaranteed starting place. With the pressure to perform he overdo things, dribbles to much or makes things unnecessary difficult for himself.

He was also great in dribbling from his half to the opponents box and giving well timed passes. Was a real pleasure to watch, hopefully he hits that level soon.

A 20 yr old not getting regular starts and being played in various roles...the complete opposite situation to last season.

Let's lay off him for now. When he starts every game, is played in the same position and underperforms consistently for a season... then criticise him.

Great play to set up the own goal. Deserved to have it chalked up as an assist. Great turn of pace and excellent delivery in the box.
Never understood why the Lega Serie A, FIGC, etc don’t count this as an assist. It seems pretty obvious that it should be. Same deal with players taking a shot that forces the keeper to punch out a rebound that allows a teammate to score. That should definitely be an assist.

Good performance, much more disciplined.

Picked up space well and kept the ball far better than in previous games. He looked the most likely to create something in the first half, created 2 chances for Ronaldo, one that was superbly blocked and another where he slipped.
