Comparing Huijsen to Calafiori? :lol2: One was busy smashing goals in the Euros after having an impressive season while the other had a rather lacklustre performance in Roma. Maybe the latter will be better in the long run but that is the product on display.
Some of you don't seem to understand where jj is right now financially.

People got problem with his sale because they would want Juve to be both Madrid and BVB at the same time. You guys need to decide whether you want to support a club that plays to win or a hipster talent farm. Huijsen might become very good in a few years but from what we've seen during his stint at Roma he's still very raw and making plenty of mistakes at the back. Imagine we play a cl game, this guy makes a blunder in a crucial match and we end up in Europa League after the group stage. I don't think he has the humility of Miretti for example to agree to be the last choice in the pecking order. Also for the price, I guess we sold to the highest bidder. It was no secret that we're willing to sell Dean yet other clubs didn't rush in for him. It's not like he refused PSG and BVB to join Bournemouth but simply he had no other choice.

Il nuovo Romero.

You will all cry for him.

You heard it here first.
Too late, literally every previous page has at least someone hyping and advocating to keep him.

He wanted to already play a crucial role which is something we could not guarantee, is still very raw but seems to believe in his own hype so no point in dragging this any longer, up until half a year ago he was a Next Gen player with still a few years of grooming needed before making him a starter with the first team, so i think the rumored transfer fee is fair given that he is still very much unproven at this level.

Could become a great CB in a few years time no doubt, but neither we nor the player have the time and patience to wait when we got different objectives and there are other lucrative offers on the table.

Mostly I agree with you.

i just hope that once we get back to be a winning team, we will stop the current scenario and only sell this type of talent with buy back option. I understand we currently need cash and no team will invest 20m out right just for us to have a buy back next year, so its okay for now, but we should be definitely be looking at Madrid model in the future.
I wonder though if we will ever reach that financial status lol.

People are freaking out because of Dragusin and Romero, we had similar case woth them too.

Then again, the club needs money, so I would rather if we sell him and not Bremer. It is what it is…

I think it's not only the finances but the status in general. Players dumped by Madrid will still want to come back because it's the final destination for a player. Whereas in our case, and especially with international players, we're just another big club. It doesn't really make a difference for them between us and ManU for example. To sum up, we would also a couple of international trophies to come closer to Madrid status.
