Motta definitely needs a ball-playing centre back in his system. Since we have missed out on Calafiori he best fits the profile among all the CBs in the team. On the other hand, he looks shaky on the defensive end and whether he can pair with Bremer in a back 4 remains a big question mark.

If we sign another quality cb I don't mind selling him (buy back or future sale clause pls). If we don't, then give him a chance.

He still looks like a top talent tho, so we may regret selling long term even if we need the cash short term.
we'll find an other top talent then. muharemovic looks talented too for starters

calafiori and chiesa are the only players we either have or targeted that i will regret not buying/keeping. maybe soulé, not sure about him. i won't lose sleep over the rest. i'd be mad if the replacements are worse though lol

Ball playing centre backs are everyone’s fetishes these days, even if they can’t defend well.

Who knows, a further season here or on loan with a few long range passes, goals or assists to compile a few YouTube compilations may be enough to see him rise to £50million+ for a Britbong club.

ok but he is only 20, defending can improve. bonucci went on to be one of top 5 cbs in history of juve after a shaky start here. and he was older than this kid when he started.

hoefully he can have same sort of career here.

if it was leipzig or something he would have gone for 60 million. thankfully for foreign clubs, sometimes they are able to use a ''backdoor'' when they shop in italy which allows them to buy players with a huge discount. like the deals between bayern and us during marotta era.
Just needs to be hyped up and marketed more and because he's foreign, the Italian media is pretty poor at it

I dont think this kid has any intentions of being at Juve long term.

He ditched the Netherlands for Spain.

He had a deal in place to go to Frosinone and ditched them to go to Roma instead.

If he can jump from Juve to PSG and make more money in the process, he's going to jump --- and he'll look for a bigger and better club once he's there

This kid feels like he'll have zero loyalty to any club and will always be looking for the next best thing.

You get feelings about certain players. I think this kid has cunt written all over him. He gives me Cancelo type vibes.

Yep. It seems very likely that we are selling him to fund for Todibo. I do hope we insert a future sale clause.

Then we have: Bremer, Todibo, Gatti, Djalo, Rugani and Facundo, six men for CB. We prolly gonna ship off two of them. Rugani is linked to Bologna, Facundo smells like another plusvalenza asset.

I think we will also use Cabal as CB

Kind of, but he's this super kidcunt has rare talent and that's what we should be monitising, so keeping him another season to play on the fringe to double his value or adding a 40-50% future seller on fee is a must

4 cb or 6(Cabal, Danilo) covering a backline of 3?

Him playing 2% of the minutes next season (and not at a high level) isnt going to double his value. You saw him at Roma last year. Some flashes of brilliance, but in general poor play that got him benched down the stretch. He needs to play (and it wont be at Juventus).

If this was 10 years ago and we were financially stable and didnt need money now to reinvest, then yeah, I'd be looking to loan him out to get experience with hope to either maximize his value in a sale or hope he can be a long term contributor for Juve.

But Juve cant afford to play the long game here to try to maximize his value. He's a young kid that needs a lot of time to grow. He has a lot of ups and a lot of downs coming over the next few seasons ---- that's the reality of a young, developing CB.

Agreed that getting a sell-on clause of some sort would be nice --- but it wont be anything close to what you want. I'd be thrilled selling him for €25-30 million with a 10% sell-on clause. That's probably a best case scenario for us.

We will use extra CB in 4 man backline like Arsenal and Man City. Somehow it looks like a trend using more versatile CB as FB.
Man City with Akanji as RB (Walker still 1st team) or Ake / Gvardiol as LB.
Arsenal convert White as RB and use Timber/Kiwior (or Zinchenko) as LB.

For our setup RB is Cambiaso/Djalo, LB is Cabal/Cambiaso. Both Cambiaso and Djalo can be RB/LB, there also idea Gatti as RB
