I don't know if it can be a bad deal for us.

They're so strapped with injuries at CB that he'll get time regardless of the manager. Unless De Rossi cuts off his nose to spite his face because Hujisen is a Juventus player.

So no matter what, he's getting probably more minutes than he would've had here with us.
I highly doubt De Rossi is that petty.

How did our boy do today?
Missed the first half, but looked like his usual self. Calm and made interceptions look easy. Misplaced some passes but neither their goal or PK was on him. Llorente and Kristensen on the PK and the entire midfield on the goal. Besides the misplaced passes I couldn't spot any errors. The whole team looked very nervous in the final stage of the match though. And I can't expect the new kid with no experience to take charge.

One thing I did pick up was his situational awareness and may be reading in too much in this but... In comparison, our players usually watch the ball when opponents have the ball. Especially Gatti and Danilo, they don't track their surroundings, they track the ball. Bremer is vastly better at this. But Huijisen looked at his surroundings much more than the ball. Which I obviously prefer.

Again, that's me drawing conclusion from ~ 40 min, I could be way off here.

Will he play when Mancini come back from suspension and Ndicka come backk from African Cup? De Rossi seems to use 4 defense line so 2 CB will be Ndicka/Mancini/Llorente/Huijsen

I think he will sit on the bench, but he will have played more this year than he would have done otherwise and we also get some pocket money. Roma owes us a favor too. I hope we in hindsight can look back and believe that we all in all made the right choice.

Reports say that Huijsen is not included in Roma’s Europa League list.

“Huijsen has not made the cut, as Roma have switched to a four-at-the-back system and have reasonable cover at centre-back now, particularly with Chris Smalling returning to training earlier in the week.”

Seems that with De Rossi the kid will struggle to get playing time

Smalling will take lots of time to return to fitness. Llorente Is trash, Kumbulla left. I wouldn't write Huijsen off already. Also, Roma is bound to come back to 352.
