@ ramin, trust me it slows down the pc. you say you got the laptop with norton already installed? that explains everything, try making a fresh windows install and see the difference. or better yet install linux. :toast:

I decided to remove Norton and installed F-Secure Internet Security 2006. Its slightly faster now, but nothing major. Will check out NOD32 later on if F-Secure dissapoints. However, its been good so far.

Forget about Linux. Maybe in another life time. :toast:

@ ramin; don't know about f-secure so good luck. i do know that nod32 is the fastest and has the best results in virus recognition and removal. here's a article that compairs paid AV software and free AV software, check it out if you want.
