Dont forget that Davids is 30 years old already, if we can get a decent amount for lets say over 20 mill then it will not be so much of a disaster. We did the same with zidane - sold a 30 year old for a huge amount and then we won two scuddetos in a row! I was one of those who panicked but luckily Nedved came thru for us. If Davids leaves then i think we must bring in an established defensive mid because no matter how good Appiah is i dont think he could be on the same level of Davids(even though i havent seen appiah play yet).
