Not really. The Roy Hodgson era had a generation of excellent players ... Ciriaco Sforza was hailed as the finest attacking midfielder in Europe then by Cryuff. Don't forget Stephane Chapuisat in the 97 Dortmund team which upset us 3-1 to win the European Cup. Kubilay Turkyilmaz (sp?) is another. Of the current, Kompany's supposed to be the next big thing. Davide looks set to join that list if he progresses as expected.

Until he'll be 23, he can switch nationality from Swiss to Italian.. And he's still 19! He'll play in the next European Championship with the Swiss U21, and probably the next World Cup with Swiss major team. Then he'll opt to play with Italy, if Italy will be interested. He wants to play with Italian major team, not the Swiss one.

I agree, it's not a good rule. Davide has refused to play for Swiss U19 and Swiss U21 till FIFA has changed this rule. Now he's playing with Swiss U21, but he'll not play for Major Swiss team, cause he wants to play for Italy.

Hmm potential then...hope it is fullfilled...

The new dp is either a hinderance, or for a moment a genius. But mostly the first.

Hey Hey hold on! I aint saying he's already as good as the first ADP. But Moggi jr (his manager) said he has the same potential. And i agree. He could be our next ADP.
