even if we were not relegated and the scandal did not happen I would have still refused to see Villa come here for anything more than 30-35 million euros.

Juventus Join The Race For Villa

Juventus have joined the race to sign David Villa after Bianconeri directors watched him against Russia according to reports in Italy.

The Old Lady directors were at the Neu Tivoli stadium on Tuesday to keep an eye on Spain’s Xabi Alonso as they wanted to convince themselves that he would be a good investment.

However their attention soon turned to Villa who stole the show with a superb hat-trick. Alonso didn’t come on the pitch until the 78th minute and, up until that time, Juve chiefs were entertained by the Los Che hit-man.

Bild claim that Juve are going to try and propose a deal which will include cash plus Iaquinta but Los Che are only looking for cash as they try and curb some of their financial problems.

Apart from that, there is also the question of stiff competition for the player’s signature. It will not be easy to sign him as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona are all after the striker.

Reports in Spain claim Los Che have slapped a €40m price tag on his head and after Juve just spent €28m on Amauri, it seems highly unlikely that they will break the bank again for Villa.
