Lavezzi would do all the running for him, draw defenders onto him and open up cracks for Trezeguet to exploit. Trezeguet's off the ball movement is what it's all about. While Lavezzi is dribbling two guys, Trez will find himself in a one-on-one position with the keeper.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Trez is not a great player, just that he wouldn't do as well in the Nipples system as other systems.

I think he'd be great for Napoli. I think he'd do a much better job there than at Milan IMO.

I completely get what you're saying, I just don't agree. Counter attack works in different ways. Trez is the type of player that will spend most of the time on the opposition's pitch and when the counter starts, it starts with say Lavezzi and Hamsik sprinting and opening up play, from the center of the pitch. Trez will already be in front of them and all he has to do is follow the movement and get in position. A player like him doesn't find himself at the start of the counter often, something he's simply not suited for, as he's the tip of the spear.

Naturally Napoli will have to adapt somewhat, but I honestly see no reason why it couldn't work. Like I said, Trez is not a cripple.

I just think that Trez's movement would hamper a counter attack system by facilitating the return of defenders more than a faster striker.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Brazilian side Corinthians are one of the teams hoping to sign Juventus striker David Trezeguet this summer according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus would like to offload the 32-year-old this summer but may find it difficult as he still has a year left to run on his contract worth €4.5m a season.

Trezeguet's agent Antonio Caliendo met with Juventus' new director general Beppe Marotta yesterday to discuss his client's future.

Marotta reportedly said that if adequate offers were to arrive for Trezeguet then they would be taken into consideration.

“Napoli, Milan, Corinthians, Monaco and why not Juve? At the moment nothing can be taken for granted,” Caliendo explained.

“It will not be the money that convinces David, but a team with ambitions, the chance to play and a Coach who respects him.”

Marotta is also expected to meet the agents of Antonio Candreva and Sebastian Giovinco this week to clarify their positions at the club.

Juventus are due back in training in a month's time and Marotta must sell before he can buy.[/FONT]
