i understand that he had major surgery on both his knees but if he was not rehabilitated and brought along properly then there should have never been the notion to have him ready to be called back into the normal rotation of practice with the team, availability as a sub or even playtime in an actual match

this is a combination of poor medical management and the coaches/trainers failing to recognize that he is not ready and his body cannot sustain full activities.

Guys, stop criticising the medical team for Trez's new injury.

It is a totally separate injury and these things are always more likely to happen when a player hasn't regained full fitness.

if this was the 1st instance of a recovering picking up a slight niggle, then it would not be so bad, but this problem has been going on for 2 seasons now...Camo this season and last, Chiellini, C-Zanetti to name a few

That would mean sitting out the entire season for Trez. This is what they always do. They kind of rush players back, it goes well for a while, then those players get some minor injuries, rest for two or three weeks and then after that they are pretty much back in the team.
